Mililani Complex Elementary Cross Country Meet

Our Mililani Complex Elementary Cross Country Meet was held at Mililani Middle School on Wednesday October 26, 2016.  Our 'Ike Team did a great job of representing Mililani 'Ike with an awesome team effort as well as good sportsmanship throughout the competition.  As a coach, I was truly happy with our energy and enthusiasm throughout the competition.  Here are the team and individual results from Wednesday.  Please also check out the many great pictures on our school blog.

Complex Cross Country Meet on Wednesday

Our Mililani Complex Elementary Cross Country Meet is on Wednesday October 26, 2016 at Mililani Middle School.  The meet starts at 9:00 a.m. with the following tentative order of events:

1) Grade 3 Girls
2) Grade 3 Boys
3) Grade 4 Girls
4) Grade 4 Boys
5) Grade 5 Girls
6) Grade 5 Boys

Awards will follow the meet in the MMS cafeteria............I hope that you will be able to come out and cheer on your child(ren) on Wednesday.

Cross Country Team Reminder

With Fall Break here and no Cross Country Team practices for the next 10 days,  team members need to run during the break so you can stay in competition condition for our upcoming meet on Wednesday October 26, 2016.  We'll be having only two more practices after the Fall Break which will be on Thursday October 20th and Monday October 24th.  Don't forget parents that you are invited to come and cheer on your child(ren) at the Complex Cross Country Meet.  Check earlier blogs for time schedule and other information regarding the meet.  See you all in about a week or so.

Cross Country Team Practices

'Ike Cross Country Team 

Our 'Ike Cross Country Team has started practices after school on Mondays and Thursdays beginning at 2:05 p.m. and ending at 3:00 p.m..  There are 9 boys and 9 girls from each of the grade levels 3, 4, and 5 for a total of 54 student athletes on our school team.  Practices will run from September 15, 2016 to October 24, 2016 with the Complex Meet taking place on Wednesday October 26, 2016.  All parents are invited to come and cheer your child(ren) on at Milllani Middle School!  There won't be any practices during Fall Break so students will need to work out during the vacation to keep in shape. Reminder that field trip permission forms are due to Mr. Hokama on Monday September 26, 2016.  Thank you for your support and encouragement for your child(ren) to work hard and strive for a healthy lifestyle!  GO PUEOS!!!

Grade 3 Cross Country Tryouts

As of 3:30 this afternoon, we are still scheduled to have our Grade 3 Cross Country tryouts tomorrow Thursday September 1, 2016.  Please come to school prepared to run tomorrow.  If we have to postpone the tryouts, new date will be Tuesday September 6, 2016.   Thank you.

As of today, we are still scheduled for our Grade 3 try outs on Thursday September 1, 2016. With the possibility of inclement weather from the incoming storms, our grade 3 Cross Country try outs could be rescheduled for Tuesday September 6, 2016 if needed.  I will keep you updated on our PE blog.

Permission forms were made available starting today for our 4th graders, they can pick the forms up from me before or after school in the playcourt. The deadline to turn in their forms will now be on the same day as the 3rd and 5th graders, Monday August 15th. All grade level try outs will be during school hours.  This will be the tentative dates for our 'Ike Cross Country try outs (weather permitting).

'Ike Cross Country Update #1

During today's Physical Education classes with our 3rd graders, we talked about the guidelines for our Cross Country Season and try-outs for interested students.  Permission forms were made available from today for any interested grade 3 students.  Deadline for these forms will be on August 15, 2016.  Cross Country will be discussed with our 5th grade students on Thursday August 11th and permission forms will be available for them on that day with the deadline also on the 15th of August.

The 4th graders will get their permission forms on Monday August 15th with a deadline to turn them 

in on Thursday August 18, 2016. Try-outs will be tentatively planned for the last two weeks of August and first week of September.
